 Winston Decorative Veneer

WINSTON Veneers are treated thin slice of woods obtained from trees and are categorized as sliced or rotary-cut veneers (according to the way they are cut). Since veneers are actually wood slices, they impart a warm and a natural wooden look to the surfaces where they are used. Used for furniture and paneling of all kinds, they are considered a great option for residences. Today, the market also offers range of veneers which are used for complete wall paneling. The thickness of the veneers is important as it has a major role in determining their durability. More the thickness, better is the durability. Also, during any kind of repair, it is the thickness that determines the limitations to which any damage can be fixed. Different ranges of veneers in shades, colors and textures (smoked and fumed veneers), are available in the markets today. Veneers happen to be the most economical way to use timber and can be easily recycled too, to be used later. They have oil-based finishes as well as water-based finishes and are a stupendous combination with lacquer finishes too. Being natural products, they last longer than laminates and can be polished according to the client’s taste. Also veneers prove to be a great bet in furniture where solid wood can’t be used due to its contraction and expansion caused by fluctuation of temperature and humidity. Winston Albaster

The thinness of Winston stone Surfaces panels makes it ideal for your back lighting projects. Our company provides translucent stone panels like Onyx, Agate, and some Marble, which are adhered to a PVB backing for extra strength. This backing allows the light to penetrate through our panels much easier than full slabs. In addition to assisting you in your custom LED projects, we also can create a one-of-a-kind, framed piece of art to hang anywhere.

Imagine a surface light in weight, with a better physical and chemical properties than natural marble, can be cut, fabricated and polished using conventional woodworking tools, glued together to form seamless joints, can be repaired and refurbished to original glory with ease and available in amazing colors! That’s alabaster!!

Alabaster is a name applied to varieties of two distinct minerals when used as a material: gypsum (a hydrous sulfate of calcium); and calcite, a carbonate of calcium, also known as onyx-marble, Egyptian alabaster, or Oriental alabaster. In geological terms, alabaster is “a stalagmite limestone marked with patterns of swirling bands of cream and brown”.[1] In general (but not always), ancient alabaster is calcite in Egypt, the Near East, and the Middle East. Alabaster is gypsum in medieval Europe. Modern alabaster is probably calcite, but may be either. Both are easy to work and both are slightly water-soluble. They have been used for making a variety of indoor artworks and carvings, as they will not survive long outdoors.

Winston Facade

In modern times.. commercial high rise buildings, the exterior walls are often suspended from the concrete floor slabs. Examples include curtain walls and precast concrete walls. The facade can at times be required to have a fire-resistance rating, for instance, if two buildings are very close together, to lower the likelihood of fire spreading from one building to another.

In general, the facade systems that are suspended or attached to the precast concrete slabs will be made from aluminum (powder coated or anodized) or stainless steel. In recent years more lavish materials such as titanium have sometimes been used, but due to their cost and susceptibility to panel edge staining these have not been popular.

Whether rated or not, fire protection is always a design consideration. The melting point of aluminum, 660 °C (1,220 °F), is typically reached within minutes of the start of a fire. Fire stops for such building joints can be qualified, too. Putting fire sprinkler systems on each floor has a profoundly positive effect on the fire safety of buildings with curtain walls.

Some building codes also limit the percentage of window area in exterior walls. When the exterior wall is not rated, the perimeter slab edge becomes a junction where rated slabs are abutting an unrated wall. For rated walls, one may also choose rated windows and fire doors, to maintain that wall’s rating.

 Winston HDF+MDF Board

It is similar to particle board and medium-density fiberboard, but is denser and much stronger and harder because it is made out of exploded wood fibers that have been highly compressed. Consequently, the density of hardboard is 31 lbs or more per cubic foot (500 kg/m³) and is usually about 50-65 lbs per cubic foot (600–1040 kg/m³). It differs from particle board in that the bonding of the wood fibers requires no additional materials, although resin is often added. The hardboard variety is made without resin. The HDF version is made with resin. Unlike particle board, it will not split or crack.

It is also popular for use in the construction industry and with trades as a temporary floor protector.

WINSTON MDF are Smooth, resistant, consistent, environmentally friendly

WINSTON Medium density fiberboard (MDF) is a versatile wood-based panel with good machinability. MDF has a consistent structure and density and a very smooth surface. This makes it suitable for routed, lacquered and painted finishes.

The MDF production process involves grinding wood chips into fibers and binding them with synthetic resin under heat and pressure. MDF is used mainly for the furniture industry, skirting boards, architraves, packaging material, in the door industry and in everything from book covers to shoes.

High density fiberboard (HDF) contains more wood fiber per cubic meter than MDF board. HDF is used mainly as the core material for laminate flooring.

WINSTON MDF / HDF is also available in Laminated and Veneered surface which is ready to use and saves time and cost of the material. It is available in more then 75+ designs and colors to choose from.
